European markets recently have witnessed a surge in demand for compact SUVs. This can be largely attributed to the characteristics of an SUV being crammed in to a coupe-style body. Thus an appealing vehicle is born, which has space, reliability and the rugged character without the parking woes that are inherent in bigger SUVs.
Car makers are lining up to offer their versions of small SUVs for Europe and the latest manufacturer to join the herd is Honda. The company has offered the first glimpse of its HR-V concept which is scheduled to be launched in Europe by the summer of 2015. Not many details have been revealed yet.
From the picture however, we can see that it is a handsome looking SUV with sharp lines and a dramatically tapering roofline, blacked out C-pillar, bulged wheel arches, prominent dual-character lines, and wrap around head and tail lights.
The USP of this car is likely to be its versatility. This baby SUV has Honda’s Magic seats which offer a wide range of seating configurations along-with the ability to completely fold away the second row seats which completely flatten the floor and allow for a truly capacious storage proposition. Honda says it has class leading interior space.
Further details on this compact SUV will be revealed during the car’s debut at next month’s Paris Motor Show.
