Just ahead of the festive season, Ford has launched a refreshed version of its popular Figo hatchback. Ford hopes that this move will help it in bringing better sales numbers as the festivities have yet to reach its peak. The car has been launched at a starting price of Rs 4.05lakhs (ex-showroom, Mumbai).
Exterior changes are minor and include a smoky finish to the fog lamp bezels, 14-inch alloy wheels and rear bumper valance. Other changes consist of chrome fender badge and built-in turn indicators for the side mirrors. The refresh is more apparent with the interior getting a ‘Cyber Blue’ theme for the door trims, dual-tone seats and the dashboard center stack along with the exterior door handles.
Pop the hood,and the same choice of 1.2litre petrol and 1.4litre Duratorq engines can be found. The petrol unit gives out 70bhp and 102Nm of torque with the oil-burner running 68 horses with a twisting force of 160Nm. The cog unit for both cars is a 5-speed manual transmission. Brake system is a pair of discs at the front and drums at the rear.
The refreshed Figo can be ordered in a total of eight colours – Mars Red, Kinetic Blue, Diamond White, Moondust Silver, Paprika Red, Chill Metallic, Smoke Grey and Panther Black.
