Mahindra to launch new Scorpio on 25 September


Mahindra’s face-lifted Scorpio has been spotted testing several times now. We have confirmed reports now that the SUV is going to be launched on 25th of this month. In fact, existing Scorpio customers can pre-book the new variant while new buyers will have to wait till the 18th of this month. Booking amount has been fixed at Rs 20,000/-.

The new Scorpio gets quite a few exterior changes. These include revisions to the front and rear bumpers, bonnet and grille. Projector headlamps and LED tail lamps are also expected to find their way in to the car. Interiors will get a major update with a multi-function steering wheel, touchscreen infotainment setup and automatic climate control. The instrument panel is also anticipated to get a new design to make it more appealing.

The same 2.2litre mHawk engine will be powering this car while the 5-speed manual transmission has been reworked to provide smoother shifting and enhanced fuel efficiency. The engine has 118PS of max power and a torque figure rated at 290Nm.
