Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) has issued a recall for 69,555 of its vehicles. The recalled vehicles include models of old Swift Dzire (55,938 units), old Swift (12,486 units),and Ritz hatchback (1,131 units); which have been manufactured between March 8, 2010 and August 11, 2013.
The company says that the problem is found in the wiring harness of the aforementioned cars. The auto giant specifies that the problem was detected by feedback monitoring and internal checks and a recall was issued in the interest of customers. It also mentions that this is a voluntary recall and the issue is limited to only the cars stated and not in any other models including those that have been exported.
Maruti Suzuki will contact the owners of the affected vehicles and the technicians at its service centers/dealers will inspect and rectify the problem free of cost.

All you have to do is enter your cars chassis number (MA3 or MBH followed by 14 digit alpha-numeric number) in the space provided and you will get the result instantly. Owners can also contact the dealerships directly to seek assistance.
