Bajaj’s Pulsar 200 SS will be launched soon. It has been spotted testing several times but has never been fully revealed in its production avatar, up till now. Folks at Team-BHP have caught on camera the export variant of this much anticipated sportsbike.
It was known till now that Bajaj will be offering the Pulsar 200 SS without ABS but with this photo we can suspect that an ABS version might be on the cards as well. It won’t be a bad idea on the part of Bajaj to introduce ABS on the 200 SS as the lower pricing and the added safety will make for an enticing buying proposition for most customers.
The bike is a looker too and bears much resemblance to the 400 SS Concept previewed at this year’s Auto Expo. It features dual projector headlamps with LED DRLs as eyebrows, LED tail lamps, clip-on handlebars and short, wide exhaust. Engine powering this machine will be the same one found in the 200 NS which means a 199.5cc, liquid-cooled, four-stroke, single-cylinder engine churning out 23.2 bhp and 18.3Nm of torque. Suspension setup will be a telescopic fork at the front and monoshock at the rear.
When launched, this bike will be placed above the Pulsar 200 NS and below the KTM RC 200. Pricing is expected to be competitive, between Rs 1.2 to Rs 1.7 lakh bracket, if this happens it could also be the cheapest bike with ABS in the country.
