Lamborghini Aventador is a very fast car. Insane acceleration, manic top speed and precision handling are the defining characteristics of the Charging Bulls latest charger. However, the company thought that it wasn’t crazy enough, and has introduced the faster and more brutal SV version. SV stands for Super Veloce which means “Super Fast”.
I believe the name says it all. This car is damn fast. So fast in fact, that it has become only the fourth production car to lap ‘The Ring’ in under seven seconds, posting a stupefying time of 6:59. This is excluding the time done by McLaren P1, which its makers say has also managed a time starting with six, but that hasn’t been officially verified yet. The fastest lap ever, belongs to the Radical SR8 LM that managed a knockout time of just 6:48.
This is a great achievement by Lamborghini’s latest and fastest machine. So, I thought of uploading some pics of the latest entrant in to this exclusive and revered club of supercars. Some facts before I gratify you with the images. 0-100 kmph in 2.8 seconds, if that’s doesn’t seem much to you, try to digest this. The SV blasts from standstill to 201 kmph in a scant 8.6 seconds. The pull and thrill is maintained all the way to its top whack of 350 kmph. No turbos, no electric motors, no nonsense; just pure naturally-aspirated power, delivered courtesy of the slightly retuned 6.5-litre V12. This unit develops 50 bhp more to a total of 750 bhp, put down to all four wheels through the seven-speed single clutch transmission. We hear that the record setting Aventador was fitted with tarmac hugging Pirelli P Zero Corsas developed specially for the occasion.
Here is the video showing the Lambo tearing up the Nurburgring with the very skilled Marco Mapelli at the helm. Enjoy the vid and pics. Leave your enthused comments below!
