Spy images of the Indonesian model of the 2015 Suzuki Ertiga facelift have surfaced on the internet courtesy of Autonetmagz. These pictures could well be the face of the 2015 Maruti Suzuki Facelift which is expected to be launched around the festive season in India. The facelift will mark its debut at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Motor Show (GIIAS) 2015 on August 20.
The 2015 Ertiga facelift gets a chrome heavy front section. The face sports the chrome-lined chunky 3-slat grille, bigger headlights a reworked bumper and chrome elements around the fog lamp housing. The side profile remain the same but the rear sees revisions in the form of extended tail light reflectors and a chrome bar above the license plate, connecting the two headlight assemblies together.
On the inside, the layout has been retained but some areas have been made more premium. The steering wheel, gear knob, dashboard and floor carpet have been given new colours. There is also new fabric for the seat covers and the third row seats can be split 50:50. Comfort, safety and convenience has been enhanced by features such as powered side mirrors, dual airbags, optional socket console box in second row and an updated audio system.
Engine powering the 2015 Ertiga facelift is the same 1.4-liter K-series (K14B) petrol unit that provides 90 bhp and 130 Nm of torque. In Indonesia, it comes with a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed automatic as well. In India, the current version apart from the petrol also gets a 1.3-liter DDiS diesel mill producing 89 bhp and 200 Nm of twisting force, but only with a 5-speed manual gearbox. These engines are expected to be tuned for better fuel economy and a 5-speed AMT automatic is also a possibility.
The Suzuki Ertiga will be seen in showrooms anytime between September to October. Once launched, it will take on the likes of Honda Mobilio and Chevrolet Enjoy with renewed vigour.
