Harley Davidson is taking the Indian market very seriously. This year it has expanded its dealership network and has brought a revolutionary product in the form of the Street 750 to make the brand more accessible to buyers. Today, the Milwaukee based manufacturer added three more models to its impressive lineup of ten bikes.
This is a standout model amongst the Softail family, and of all the bikes launched today, only this will be assembled locally at Harley’s Haryana plant. The bike’s design hallmark is the aggressive, low-slung layout and 18-inch rear tyres wrapped in enormous 240mm rubber. It looks nothing like what’s present in the Softail lineup (Goes with the name).
Power comes from a Twin Cam 103 V-Twin, air-cooled engine producing a solid 130Nm of torque and mated to a 6-speed Cruise Drive gearbox. The bike has been launched at Rs-16.28 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and will sit above the Fat Boy in the Softail ladder.
Harley-Davidson Street Glide Special-
With the introduction of this bike, Harley has finally brought its Touring family nearer to enthusiasts. The Street Glide is a big bike with a big, wide fairing and tons of chrome. It features twin halogen headlamps at the front and LED tail lights at the rear. The Glide also gets mechanical goodies like hydraulic-adjustable suspension, reflexes linked brakes with ABS, optional smart security system and a Boom!Box6.5GT radio and infotainment system.
Power comes from the same Twin Cam 103, air-cooled engine seen on the Breakout but producing 138Nm of torque. The transmission tasked with handling the power is again, the 6-speed Cruise Drive unit. The Street Glide Special can be yours for Rs-29.7 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Harley-Davidson CVO Limited-
Big daddy of the H-D lineup. It is the new flagship model and rightly so; H-D doesn’t come more customized than this. CVO stands for Custom Vehicle Operations and this department provides the ultimate Harley albeit in limited numbers for each country. This bike immediately hits you with its sheer size and offers oodles of style coupled with practicality and cross-country touring comfort.
The CVO Limited gets Daymaker LED headlights and LED – fog lamps as well as tail lights. The dashboard gets a 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a Boom!Box 6.5GT radio with 75 watts per channel sound for better clarity.
Powering this behemoth is the Twin Cam 110 engine producing a gutsy 156Nm of torque coupled with the 6-speed silky smooth transmission; ideal for devouring interstates and cross country roads. The CVO Limited will be bought in as a CBU. If mighty road presence and best of Harley-Davidson is what you want, look no further than this cruiser. Rs-49.23 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) is all that stands between you and the ultimate H-D experience.
